Club History

Ballymoney Ladies Hockey Club was reformed in 1984 when they entered into the Ulster Women's’ Hockey Union Minor League. They then went an incredible 11 years without defeat and gained promotion for 14 consecutive seasons, winning 6 Cup titles and were League winners 13 times.
Cup, league and shield success have been at the fore of many of these years and who could forget a trip to Europe in 2002, where we represented Ireland. Many of our players have represented Ulster and Ireland, bringing honour and pride to not only themselves but also to our ’wee’ club here in the ‘toon.’
At present we field, a 1stXI premier league team and a strong 2ndXI and 3rdXI team who play in the Ulster Junior Leagues. We have a growing academy of 200 children which continues to develop.
