Ballymoney stay top of the Premier league continuing their 100 per record with a comfortable 4-1 win over Mossley at JDLC Saturday 30th September.
Kathryn Boyd opened the scoring on the 10th minute when she capitalised on a defensive error from Mossley.
Mossley responded almost immediately through Ulster U18 interprovincial player Molly Douggan who drove down the right lifting the ball over the home keeper levelling the scores going into the break.
Ballymoney came out all guns blazing in the second half marks woman Nikki Park put her side further ahead with a diving deflection at the back post. Mossley pushed for the equaliser but could not break the rear guard of Ruth Sutherland ,Bridget Cleland ,Elle Kirgan and Laura Jayne Kernohan. Midway through the half Olivia Mullan won a penalty corner , Ruth Sutherland converting her unstoppable trademark strike past the visiting keeper. Richard Fairman introduced his young bench U16 interprovincial player Lucy McCartney making her debut at senior level and Holly Barr U17 player both making significant contributions in the game . With five minutes remaining Nikki Park got her second and Ballymoney's fourth goal after an individual solo run scoring from a tight angle securing all 3 points .
Richard Fairman hopes his team of experience and youth can continue their run of form ahead of next weeks clash when they make the long journey to UUC in Cork in the Irish Senior Cup, Sunday 7th October.
