On the 6th October Ballymoney 3XI came away with their first win of the season, winning 3-0 against a tough Priorians side.
Ballymoney worked hard for the duration of the match, maintaining possession and playing some excellent hockey. The first two goals came within the first half of the match, with Olivia McCloy scoring a fantastic goal from her reverse stick and Emmie Booth benefiting from a strong set play to capitalise on it and increase Ballymoneys lead to 2-0.
As the second half begun, Ballymoney set out with the same intent and kept the ball in the oppositions half. During this half ballymoney created numerous chances to increase the score line, in doing so Olivia McCloy scored her 2nd goal of the match with a fantastic straight strike.
With a strong mixture of youth and experience within the ballymoney team they were able to overcome a skilled opposition to gain their first crucial points in the league.
